Book 1 final project

Along For The Ride by Sarah Dessen

My fan experience idea is a bicycle necklace because at the beginning of the book Auden never rode a bike and towards the end she buys one herself then asks her friends to teach her how. The bicycle is blue with fat russell tires and has an old-styled look to it because of the small town that she is visiting.
This is what the bike would look like if it was real. But like this on a necklace with black on the tires and blue on the frame of the bike.
I think this idea would work to get more people to read the book because it will grab someone's attention when they see this near the book and make them want to read why there is a bike in the story and what it stands for towards the story. The necklace could go with the book to get people to want to buy the book but have the necklace price could also be in the price of the book to encourage book stores to buy the product and make money for the author as well.

Along for the ride

Along for the ride is about a soon to be college student that wants to make up for her missed childhood after her parents were tried of child-like behavior from her older brother. When helping out her new step-mother, Heidi,  with her half-sister Thisbe, she finds herself in a job at Clemtine's the store that Heidi works. soon she finds a new group of friends and a guy named Eli who she can't quite fiqure out what they are. I like that after all those years of her missed childhood, Eli wants to help recreate memories that she never knew people did when they were kids. I don't really have any expectations on where this book will end up quite yet.

What is a book?

A book is an escape from reality; it gives you an image of someone else's life. A book is like acting in a play, playing the part of a character and living in their world. The author's choice of character speaks to the reader wanting to read like the books never going to end, especially when an exciting part in the story comes up relieving you from boring description of people and places that the character meets. The idea of a book is like finding something very interesting about someone that you know very well. the author that i agree with on their view of books is Tom Piazza because his examples of why books are important to us gives a great reasoning on why people should read actual books than on eBooks. I prefer to read a paperback book because the feel of the book makes you realize that other peoples life could be like the story you're reading about. Reading on an eBook or kindle to me feels weird because i'm used to reading from an actual book from growing up. The new technology that we are creating could be a reason that toddlers don't know how an actual book or magazine because we've gotten them used to the technology and messing with their brains.
